Reflection

Trixie slammed her dresser drawer shut and yanked a sweatshirt over her head. She grabbed her cell phone off her desk and slid it into her back pocket. A swipe of her curls with a hairbrush, a quick glance in the mirror and she was done with her morning routine. She trudged wearily down the stairs, all the while thinking of a revenge for Mart. That particular Saturday morning, Moms had been generous with Trixie and allowed her to sleep in. But Mart had had a morning that involved much yelling and drama in the hallway outside Trixie's bedroom. Tired of the constant interruptions into her sleep, Trixie gave up and got out of bed. Now as she padded through the empty family room, visions of Mart clamped in stocks or of being forced to sit in a dunking booth while Trixie took aim at him filtered through her mind. She was focused on an image of Mart begging for forgiveness as she walked towards the kitchen to get some tea. She was just about to enter the dining area when she heard a noise. Peeking around the corner, Trixie saw Mart arranging the shiny toaster on the counter. He then stepped back and removed his shirt so that his torso was exposed. As he watched himself in the toaster, Mart began to move back and forth. Trixie's eyes widened as she saw Mart start to flex various muscles. She clapped her hand over her mouth to stifle her laughter when Mart launched into a performance of body-builder poses.

"Oh yea, this is going to be epic," she thought to herself as she whipped out her cell phone. Holding it out in front of her, Trixie hit the video camera button. Mart never heard the soft "ping" of the phone as Trixie began taping him. Mart's posturing and flexing continued for several minutes. He even turned around and watched himself over his shoulder. Trixie nearly burst out laughing when she saw Mart finish his poses and execute a self-satisfied bow for the toaster. She quickly returned the phone to her pocket and went back to her room. As Trixie softly closed her bedroom door, she couldn't help but think that the day had suddenly turned to her advantage.
