After sharing a delicious meal, Tad and Trixie decided to take a stroll through the streets in the neighborhood where the restaurant was located. They passed by the wrought iron gates that led into a small park. Visitors were leaving as the sun dropped lower in the sky. Lights came on, illuminating the path the two were following. Tad watched Trixie as she energetically told him a story that involved Bobby feeding Reddy his steamed broccoli. As Trixie paused to catch her breath, Tad reached out and grabbed her hand.
"Is your hand cold?" He asked. "Mine is freezing. I’m hoping you can warm it up." He looked at Trixie questioningly.
Trixie smiled as she settled her hand in Tad’s. They continued to saunter through the park. The sky blazed as the sun dipped down behind the horizon. The two reluctantly made their way back to Tad’s car. Being a gentleman, Tad held the door open for Trixie and watched as she slid into her seat. He got in behind the wheel and turned to his date.
"Trixie, I had a really good time tonight. I hope we can do it again."
His steady gaze held hers. He saw himself reflected in her shining blue eyes. He reached over and stroked his finger across her rosy cheeks and along her jaw. Without any further thought, he leaned forward and slid his lips over hers. His intent was to make the kiss a small, romantic gesture but once their lips touched, the passion inside of them ignited. He felt Trixie lean into him, winding her hands around his neck and pulling him closer. He heard her soft moan as his hands splayed across her back. His eyes closed and he ran his tongue across her teeth, seeking more of her. Thoughts were banished from his mind as his heart and body took over. Trixie felt the world fall away and she pressed her body into Tad’s, hungry for more contact. The two fused together and their passion became the driving force. Their hands traveled over each other's body as their kissing deepened. Forced to break contact for a breath of air, the two looked at each other. Their flushed faces registered surprise and pleasure.
"Wow!" gasped Trixie.
"You can say that again," Tad said softly. He wove his fingers through hers. "Where have you been all my life," he whispered as he nuzzled her neck.
"Waiting for the right moment," Trixie whispered back.
"Well, Belden," Tad murmured as he ran his fingers through her hair, "I think you found it."
"Oh yea," said Trixie happily as she settled herself in Tad’s arms and lifted her face towards his.
