Sunshine

Trixie ran into the school auditorium where Senior Glee was held. After heaving her backpack into a chair, Trixie climbed the stairs to the stage and took her place at the end of the front row of the risers. A quick glance at the top row showed the presence of her two best friends, Diana and Honey. All three had decided to take Senior Glee together, hoping it would turn out to be their "easy A" class. A few minutes later the choir director, Miss Houston, took her place in front of the choir and brought the class to attention. She asked her assistant to hand out some new music that was titled Let The Sunshine In.

"Oh good", said Trixie, "a piece I have actually heard before."

The rest of the choir had the same thought.

After reviewing and practicing the new piece, Miss Houston again called for everyone's attention.

"Now class," she said, "This is a fun piece. So I thought that the entire choir could sway and do hand motions while singing."

"Hand motions?" Trixie asked.

Miss Houston continued, "Oh yes. Except for you, Trixie."

"What will I be doing?"

Miss Houston clapped her hands together and gushed. "You, Trixie, will be dressed up as a beautiful sun and will come dancing onto the stage while the choir sings."

Trixie's shocked eyes met the glowing eyes of Miss Houston.

"This performance," added the director, "will be a memorable one."

"Oh, gleeps!", worried Trixie, "and double gleeps!"
